ABOUT

Collision Designs is the personal portfolio of a pint sized, pocket rocket graphic designer named Tabitha, showcasing graphic design, web interface design, branding and identity design, print design, and personal works.

Based in Brisbane, Australia, I am currently working as a freelance designer while I finish off my last year of Uni doing a Bachelor of Multimedia with a major in Visual Communications.

My fascination with all things graphic started when I was 11 and happened purely by accident. I was hanging out at my uncle's studio (a local DJ in Singapore), entertaining myself while he was working and stumbled upon the wonder that is Photoshop. Having no clue what it was, I started playing with it and ended up discovering the cloud render. One of my uncles colleges asked me how I did that, and I replied with a blank stare. That day, I went home and begged my dad to buy it just so I could figure that out and and obsession was born!

I'm passionate about many things; graphic and print design, music, movies, tv shows….okay, I'm passionate about entertainment.

When I'm not designing, I dabble in writing lyrics which end up being a lot like diary entries. I used to dream of being a musician when I realised that I loved putting my thoughts to a melody but figured that it would be a better career path for someone who can actually play an instrument. (I played drumns for awhile in high school but don't have a kit to keep that dream alive and can't play the F chord on the guitar since my hands are miniscule).

That being said, my dream job would be to either work at a record label - designing CD/DVD cover work, merchandise, posters, ads etc - or at a movie/production studio doing DVDs cover, poster work and print ads.
